This is a quick review
Your destiny awaits you on the battlefield. As a Roman General on a quest to forge an empire, you will be transported back to the dusty battlefields of Egypt, the frozen lands of the Gauls, and finally to the heart of the Empire itself, Italy. Your quest will be no easy task as the lands you seek to conquer are heavily defended by thousands of powerful troops.

Praetorians is an strategy game developed by Pyro Studios.
Plot:
With this game you are going to travel to the ancient Rome, to the time of Julius Caesar, full of battles, intrigues and glory.
As you may know the Praetorians were the elite of the army. They were the most organized in battles and they march in incredible straight columns.
Praetorians lets you play as one of three civilizations: the Romans, the Egyptians, and the barbarians (composed of German, Gallic, and Briton tribes) Each army has their own abilities and of course disadvantages. Commanders also have an "aura" around themselves that enhances the offensive and defensive capabilities of friendly units fighting nearby. This aura also lets commanders gain experience from any enemy units their troops defeat.
You will fight in very different scenarios around Europe and will be very useful a map, that will show you the all the area that you need.
In addition, the game play is simple, you only have to use your mouse.
Graphics and sound:
The graphics are amazing and the scenarios are exciting. The designers paid a lot of attention to details. The sound effects are good and the soundtrack is impressive.
To sum up, this is an exciting game you will love it! |
